TACTICAL KNOWLEDGE YOU NEED
We started Zot University because we were tired of taking classes in which three hours of content were crammed into 40 hours of classes which required us to miss work.
We wanted classes which stripped out all of the extraneous stuff and just had the tactical knowledge that we needed for our jobs.
Training is everywhere today. There are how-to videos and DIYs all over the web on how to do everything. Who has the time to watch 300 hours of videos to sift out those nuggets of knowledge?
That's what we've done for you. We've refined all of that information to create a class which has all the tactical knowledge you need, taught by the most experienced instructors, in the right amount of time.

There is no career track for a DevOps developer. You are either a SysAdmin or a Software Developer that has started developing your own software to manage your IT operations.
As IT systems become more complex, more software will have to be written to manage those systems. Learn how to do that using Python in our DevOps with Python class.
The following topics will be covered:
BEST PRACTICES OF CODING STYLES
Introduction to the basics of Python syntax and community best practices of coding style. We will use a mix of VI, IDLE, and introduce Thonny for the development environment. Finally, we will discuss provide guidance on a variety of "when to use python" scenarios.
CODE PACKAGING AND DEPLOYMENT
Packaging code for distribution as well as application deployment and a simple daemon application. Learn various ways to run the application. These applications will be extended through the following days.
DATA & FILE MANIPULATION
Work with I/O processing for regular file operations. This will encompass file handling (CRUD / file movement / zip creation/ extraction), traversing the file system, process streaming data and utilizing regular expressions.
PARALLEL PROCESSING / SUBPROCESSES
Handling parallel processing with threaded applications and launching child subprocesses (both python and external applications).
Exploration of web processing with ReST, json, xml and web scraping. We will also discuss requests and formatting json and xml for posts.
